Trinity Sep 19, 2021 - You won't find the word "trinity" anywhere in the Scriptures. It is a theological word that expresses how God is represented and described in the Bible. At the baptism of Jesus, you see the Trinity: The Father speaks, the Spirit descends, and the Son is baptized. Why is this important? It's important because God in His very essence is relational, that is both who and what He is. That means all of life is about relationships. For all eternity there has been a "dance" between the three persons that make up the one triune God. It's the dance of mutual, self-giving love. All of creation reflects the relational reality of God. The Trinity.
