Bernie and I would like to ask you for prayer - the treatment he started for prostate cancer in January did not work - the cancer spread, and from an X-ray at the end of April, we found that it has spread to his femur, and so obviously it has spread to other parts of his body, also. His oncologist from Chandler referred him to an excellent medical facility up here in Olympia, WA, and he is currently undergoing chemotherapy. That is the last treatment available to him right now, and we are trusting God for what happens from this point on. And it is wonderful to be close to family! We would really appreciate your prayers for both of us during this season. Pray for miraculous healing, but mostly that our hearts stay in tune with the Father and His plan for our lives. Pray for extra strength (he is really weak, and the shots that he has to have after each treatment really make him feel exhausted) and lots of patience for both of us as we navigate this whole thing!
