Our Sun Valley team, in partnership with Chosen Children Ministries, will be working with the local churches around Masaya, Nicaragua. Our goal is to build relationships, create sustainable ministry, and most importantly, share the love of Jesus.

There is a wide range of projects to get involved in, all based on Chosen Children Ministry’s needs. These include building houses, constructing latrines, distributing food bags, making home visits, and leading a Children's Program for local children and Bible studies for adults.

While the exact itinerary will vary, a typical trip schedule includes:

Saturday: Fly to Nicaragua and arrive at the Mission House

Sunday: Attend church service in the community. Our teams are often asked to come prepared to lead the Sunday service.

Monday through Thursday: Working on projects.

  • Each day, team members are either on the Construction team or the Home Visits/Bible Study team.
  • The Construction team helps build the homes by mixing and pouring concrete.
  • The Home Visits/Bible Study team will meet community members and invite them to attend the Children's Program. While the children are in the Children's Program, we will facilitate an adult Bible study with their parents.
  • Sun Valley team members usually rotate between the Construction Team and Home Visits/Bible Study Team

Friday: Team fun day. Visit a local attraction.

Saturday: Fly home.

This team will have three required training meetings for all participants. The meetings will be in the afternoon at one of our Sun Valley campuses and are scheduled for the following dates:

April 27, 2025

August 3, 2025

September 7, 2025

(Exact times TBD)

Fundraising for the cost of this trip is encouraged. We will train you and provide resources to assist you with fundraising. Full funding for this trip will be due by August 1, 2025.
