Hurts, Hang-Ups, and Habits | Men

South Gilbert Campus

Life is hard. Sometimes hurt from the past and struggles today can feel too much to bear. No one wants to listen to you, but Jesus is here. He is with us, loving us, and wants to help. We all have hurts, hang-ups, and habits that did not occur overnight. However, we can experience freedom from them as we come to meet, know, and follow Jesus. Our group is for anyone struggling with hurts, hang-ups, and habits of any kind. We believe we must admit our need, get help, let go, come clean, make changes, repair relationships, grow in faith, and then use our pain to help others to know this freedom. These are based on the Eight Principles found in the Words of Jesus in the Beatitudes. Our group is for anyone struggling with hurts, hang-ups, and habits of any kind. We are in various stages of healing and recovery. We are united by a common desire to experience and live in the freedom God gives us when we choose to give our hurts, habits, and hang-ups over to God. We share our life and struggles in a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere. We want to help you find community and freedom from the issues controlling your life. What’s shared in the group stays in the group. We are here to support one another, not fix one another. Our Small Group starts with a time of fellowship over refreshments, We use the sermons and notes to guide our discussions, but we are not a typical Bible Study. We strive to open our lives to the sermon, examine how to apply concepts, and challenge ourselves. From time to time, we serve our community and do social things together. We would love to have you join us. Chad says, “If you’re not in recovery, you are in denial.” It is so true!
